Uh, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ uh. This is, you know. It spent a lot of nights alone, crying trying to figure it out, and you know I still have a lot to figure it out, but you know I thank him for covering me.
Coko Gauff the youngest American to win a US Open, since Serena Williams did so at age 19 in 2001 is not shy about expressing her faith in Jesus in public, but the liberal media likes to Omit any reference to God.
That was precisely what ESPN sports center did in this post on X, formerly, Twitter, Coco Gauff bowed her knees to pray, but Sports Center said at Coco Gauff took a moment to soak it all in after winning her first Grand Slam title.
Thankfully, a brave and godly man, Tony Dungy, former head coach of Tampa Bay and Indianapolis Colts quickly reminded ESPN that Coco Gauff was not soaking it all in, but was praying. I hate to break this to you sports center, but Coco Gauff was not soaking it all in at this moment. She was praying. She has been very open about her Christian faith in the past. It seems pretty obvious what she is doing here. This individual tweeted. Why can’t she be doing both? To which Tony responded, “Why can’t they say both?” That is a fantastic reply by Tony Dungy.
Espn can’t deny that they were unaware that Coco was praying, but they chose to leave that part out, and one obvious conclusion is that ESPN does not want to acknowledge God on their platform. Finally, tonight from a spectator in the stands to a champion on the court, what a journey for Coco Gauff with a tribute to Faith and family Coco Gauff making history at 19 on Saturday becoming only the third American team to ever win the US Open, the youngest Since Serena Williams won at 17 at the Trophy presentation, Coco opened up about her faith.
You know, I don’t pray for results. I just ask that I get the strength to to give it my all reflecting on her journey to this moment. My dad took me to this tournament sitting right there watching Venus and Serena compete, and what would she tell that young girl today never give up on your dreams? I mean that girl would be jumping even higher and crazier if she knew this would happen, and I think the biggest thing I would tell her is keep dreaming and keep believing what a remarkable Journey.
But it is so sad that a company like ESPN won’t even acknowledge this young lady’s faith in God, but is quick to promote all kinds of sensual and woke ideologies. America has become so Godless that even recognizing, what’s obvious, can be considered offensive to those who hate the truth that Jesus Christ, God incarnate, is the way, the truth and the life, and that there is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ.
It’s Joy, but is it? Is there like a release, a release of tension, a release of that pressure um, I would say more so Joy than relief. I would think in the past it would have been more relief than Joy, but but I think, with all the growth and maturity I’ve done.
It’s definitely more joy than relief, so many Beautiful Moments. I think a lot of people wept when you got down on your knees a couple of times and you were clearly saying a prayer. What what were you saying in that moment? Uh? I was just saying.
Thank you, and I understood, like all the tough times, were just to make that moment even sweeter. I think if it came easy, it wouldn’t be. I wouldn’t feel as appreciative as I did in that moment. Clearly, behind every Godly kid is God-fearing and praying parents, and again coach.
Tony dunie pointed this out in this tweet good girl good for her parents did a good job cheers to the parents. Yes, they have. I read she prays with her father regularly and before her matches awesome.
This is a team yeah and your parents. I mean what you have done with this beautiful amazing phenomenal child is just something to behold. Congratulations to both of you as well! Well, thank you. So much I’m so proud of her.
This is an excellent reminder to parents that God, God has allowed you to raise your kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. According to Ephesians 6:4, the biblical View and responsibility of children is born out of, I believe, Ephesians.
6 1-4 children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right: honor, your father and your mother. This is the first commandment with a promise that it may go well with you and you may live long in the land.
Fathers do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Our goal in raising children is to raise them to the glory and honor of God, because our children are essentially not ours.
They belong to God, and we have a duty, a responsibility and a privilege, as Christian parents, to point our children to the greatest truth that anyone has ever known and to the truth that basically forms our entire existence.
It means more to us than anything else in the world, and so this great stewardship of ours is also a great blessing of ours, as we try to meet our children’s greatest need by pointing them to the person and work of Christ check out these two videos To learn more about other young Christians who have accomplished great things and are unafraid to acknowledge God publicly.
So what’s your secret, are you Superman, no ma’am, I’m far from it um I give all glory and honor to God. Definitely um. I think my parents that are always supporting me and encouraging me when everything else in my life felt uncertain the only person that I could depend on to stay.
The same was Jesus whatever platform God gives us. Our ultimate goal should be to use that platform to glorify Jesus. We need more athletes who boldly share their faith in Jesus, as Jonathan Isaac did even when his career could have been jeopardized.
Orlando Magic for Jonathan Isaac was the only only player standing during the you didn’t KN during the anthem, but you also didn’t wear a black lives matter shirt the moment when you find yourself standing alone like I did, even though I knew deep down that I wasn’t Alone, in the actual reality of it, I was it was scary.
It was lonely anybody who is going to be going through that, I think, there’s a foundational understanding that they are standing up for something bigger than themselves and at the end of the day, if they’re standing on truth, then they should go through with it.
And for me, I wanted to point people to Christ. He got it. Isaac on the rebound and the follow Jonathan Isaac can do no wrong right now, as VOD bacham pointed out, raising Godly children always starts with parents.
Exposing children to biblical truth and pointing to Jesus Christ at a young age will help them maintain their faith in Jesus Christ as they age. Our our militancy is for corporatism. Our children are being raised to be soldiers of corporatism, but if we understand that we’re part of the church militant now, what we’re saying is our children are being raised and equipped to serve the King of Kings and the Lord of lords, and so things like catechism Um things like family worship, um things like taking control of giving our children a Christian education and a Biblical worldview.
These become the things that we commit ourselves to because we see ourselves as raising our children as citizens of the Kingdom, not just participants in corporatism. Please pray for this young lady to maintain her relationship with Jesus success and fame have ways of causing people to stumble.
We pray that Koko will live by Mark 8:36. An excellent Bible verse Tony Dungy posted on his xpage, for what shall it profit? A man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul. Please help us spread biblical truth.
